Eagle Food schedules court hearing to approve disclosure statement for Jan. 27

Chicago, Dec. 15 - Eagle Food Centers Inc. has obtained a court order setting the date for approval of its disclosure statement for Jan. 27.

An objection deadline will be scheduled for no less than seven days before the confirmation hearing, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Eagle, which filed for bankruptcy protection on April 8, owns and operates 61 supermarkets in Illinois and Iowa and is based in Milan, Ill.
