Moody's: Duke Energy Ohio outlook positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlook for Duke Energy Ohio, Inc. (Baa1 senior unsecured) to positive from stable.

The change in outlook primarily reflects the near- and intermediate-term regulatory stability associated with a recently settled electric security plan, the agency said, adding that Duke Ohio also continues to produce relatively strong key financial credit metrics.

The ratings are modestly constrained by some uncertainty associated with Duke Ohio's intermediate and longer-term strategic plans associated with its generation fleet, its upstream dividend policy and overall liquidity profile, Moody's said.
