Moody’s revises DTE Gas to negative

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the A2 senior unsecured ratings of DTE Gas Co. and changed the outlook to negative from stable.

"DTE Gas' negative rating outlook reflects our expectation that the company's decision to maintain existing capital expenditure levels near their record highs, at a time when it is grappling with the negative cash flow impacts from federal tax reform, will result in a sustained weakening of its financial metrics," Moody’s assistant vice president, analyst Lesley Ritter said in a news release.
