Fitch affirms DFCC Bank

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed DFCC Bank's national long-term rating at AA(lka), along with its senior debentures at AA(lka) and subordinated debentures at AA-(lka).

The ratings are driven by the bank's strong capitalization, supported by its sustained solid profitability on the back of an improving economic and operating environment, Fitch said.

The ratings also factor in the bank's high exposure to risky long-term project finance, reliance on long-term bilateral and multilateral funding sources and the consequent need for higher capitalization, the agency said.
