Connetics maintained by Jefferies at hold

Connetics Corp. was maintained by Jefferies & Co., Inc. analyst David Windley at a hold rating in response to the company's $12.5 million acquisition of PediaMed. The acquisition is estimated to dilute earnings per share in 2006 and 2007. Jefferies said it revised earnings per share to $0.58 and $0.85, respectively. Shares of the Palo Alto, Calif., pharmaceutical company were down 48 cents, or 3.08%, at $15.10 on volume of 1,081,184 shares versus the three-month running average of 783,727 shares.
