Interstate Bakeries reports $13.01 million operating loss for four weeks ended June 25

Washington, Aug. 9 - Interstate Bakeries Corp. reported a $13.01 million operating loss on revenues of $254.37 million for the four-week period ended June 25, according to its monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri.

The company reported a $2.69 million operating loss on revenues of $272.06 million for the four weeks ended May 28.

The net loss for the period to June 25 was $9.06 million versus a $67.77 million net loss for the period to May 28.

Cash at June 25 was $149.37 million, up from $135.59 million on May 28.

The Kansas City, Mo., bakery operator filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 22, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-45814.
