Freescale Semiconductor to redeem $100 million of 10¾% notes on May 6

Madison, Wis., April 6 – Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd., plans to redeem $100 million of its 10¾% senior notes due 2020 on May 6, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The redemption price for the 10¾% notes is par plus an applicable premium and accrued interest up to, but not including, the redemption date.

The company delivered a redemption notice to noteholders on April 6.

Freescale plans to fund the redemption with cash on hand.

The semiconductor manufacturer is based in Austin, Texas.
