Francesca’s reports $6.36 million loss from operations for January

Olympia, Wash., April 7 – Francesca’s Holdings Corp. reported a $6.36 million loss from operations on $15.91 million of net sales for the Jan. 3 through Jan. 30 period, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The net income for the period was $37.61 million.

The company listed $11.78 million of cash and cash equivalents as of Jan. 30.

Francesca’s is a Houston-based specialty retailer that operates a chain of boutiques providing apparel, jewelry, accessories and gifts. The company filed bankruptcy on Dec. 3 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware under Chapter 11 case number 20-13076.
