DT Industries trustee objects to liquidation plan

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 18 - DT Industries, Inc.'s U.S. Trustee objected to the company's plan of liquidation, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The trustee objected to DT Industries' attempt to release past and present company officers and directors from claims liability under the plan.

"Because creditors were not given the opportunity to vote on the releases but are deemed to release, discharge and waive any claims by voting to accept the plan, the releases are nonconsensual," the objection said.

The Dayton, Ohio, designer, manufacturer and integrator of automation systems and related equipment filed for bankruptcy on May 12, 2004. Its case number is 04-34091.
