AMR pilot beneficiaries appeal contract agreement, program changes

Pittsburgh, Dec. 28 - AMR Corp.'s Supplement B Pilot Beneficiaries have appealed court orders approving a collective bargaining agreement and related settlements with the Allied Pilots Association and amendment of American Airlines, Inc.'s pilot retirement benefit program fixed-income plan to eliminate lump sum and installment forms of benefits.
According to Friday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, both orders were entered on Dec. 19.
AMR, the Fort Worth-based parent of American Airlines, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 29, 2011. Its Chapter 11 case number is 11-15463.
